1. Agreement
By creating a Ferla account or using the app you agree to these terms. If you do
not agree, do not use the app. You must be at least 16 years old. If you use
Ferla on behalf of a household, you confirm the others agreed to it.
2. What Ferla is
Ferla is a personal bookkeeping and budgeting tool. It records the income and
expenses that you enter — by typing, by speaking, or by photographing a receipt —
and shows you summaries, charts, goals and reminders based on what you entered.
3. What Ferla is NOT — read this
**Ferla does not provide financial, investment, tax, accounting or legal
advice, and nothing in the app should be treated as such.**
- Summaries, insights, suggestions, alerts, projections and everything the AI
assistant says are informational only. They are produced automatically
from the numbers you entered and are not a personal recommendation for you.
- Nothing in the app is an offer, solicitation or recommendation to buy, sell or
hold any currency, precious metal, security or other financial instrument.
Prices shown for gold, foreign currency or other assets are **indicative
market data from third parties**: they may be delayed, incomplete or wrong,
and they are not a quote you can trade on.
- **Past performance does not indicate future results. Any investment can lose
value, including all of it.** We make no promise, projection or guarantee of
any return, saving or profit.
- Ferla is not an accountant or a tax adviser. It does not calculate, file,
optimise or advise on your taxes. Never use its figures for a tax return, an
audit, a loan application or any statutory filing without having them checked
by a licensed professional.
- Ferla is not a bank, payment institution, money transmitter, investment firm
or e-money issuer. It does not hold, move, transfer or invest your money, and
it does not connect to your bank account. Shared or group savings features
only record what participants tell the app; **no money moves through
Ferla**, and Ferla is not a party to, and not responsible for, any payment
between members.
- Before making any financial decision, consult a professional who is qualified
and licensed in your country. Decisions you make using the app are yours.
4. AI features and their limits
The assistant, the receipt scanner and automatic categorisation use artificial
intelligence supplied by third parties. AI output can be **wrong, incomplete or
misleading**. A receipt may be read incorrectly; an amount, a date, a currency
or a category may be filled in wrongly; a spoken sentence may be transcribed
wrongly.
You are responsible for checking every figure before you rely on it. Ferla
lets you review and edit every automatically created record, and shows a
reminder that AI answers are informational.
AI features depend on third-party services, monthly usage allowances and a
working internet connection. They may be unavailable, rate-limited, slowed down
or changed without notice. Do not use the assistant to submit other people's
personal data, and do not try to make it produce content outside personal
finance.
5. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your credentials and your device secure. Tell us
at info@ferla.app immediately if you think someone else has access to
your account. One account is for one person; do not share credentials.
6. Your data
Your entries belong to you. You can export them at any time and delete them at
any time. How we handle them is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms
part of these terms.
7. Subscriptions, billing and cancellation
Ferla offers a free tier and paid subscriptions ("Pro" / "Pro+").
- Prices are shown in your local currency on the purchase screen before you
confirm. The price shown there is the price that applies.
- Length of subscription: one month or one year, as selected at purchase.
- Automatic renewal: the subscription renews automatically at the end of
each period, and payment is charged to your Apple or Google account **within
24 hours before the current period ends**, unless you cancel first.
- Cancelling: turn off auto-renewal **at least 24 hours before the current
period ends**, in iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions, or in the Google
Play Subscriptions screen. Cancellation is done in your store account; we
cannot cancel it for you. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- After cancelling, paid features stay available until the end of the period
you already paid for; they are not cut off immediately.
- Free trial, where offered: **any unused part of a free trial is forfeited
when you buy a subscription** to the same content. Cancel at least 24 hours
before the trial ends to avoid being charged.
- Payment is taken by Apple or Google, not by us. We never see your card
details.
- Refunds are handled by Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com) or Google Play
under their policies; we cannot issue a store refund. Where consumer law gives
you a right of withdrawal, that right applies in addition.
- Price changes are announced before they take effect; Apple or Google ask
for your consent where their rules require it.
- Restore purchases is available on the purchase screen if you reinstall the
app or switch devices with the same store account.
8. Fair use
Paid plans described as "unlimited" are subject to reasonable-use limits that
protect the service from automated or abusive traffic. If you go far beyond
normal personal use, AI features may be slowed for the rest of the month. You
will be told in the app if this happens; you will not be charged extra and you
will not be pushed to a higher plan for it.
9. Shared content and acceptable use
Ferla's family and group features let people you invite see the shared ledger:
the member names, the family name and the entries added to it.
- Only invite people who agreed to share a budget with you. Do not add another
person's personal data without their knowledge.
- Do not post content that is unlawful, abusive, harassing, hateful,
threatening, sexual, or that infringes someone's rights. Free-form chat
between users does not exist in Ferla, but note fields are still visible to
the members of your family group.
- Any member can be removed from a family by the owner, and you can leave a
family at any time.
- Report abusive content or a member to info@ferla.app. **We act on
reports within 24 hours** and may remove content or suspend an account.
- Do not attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, overload, resell or automate the
service, and do not use it for anything unlawful.
10. Availability and changes
We may change, suspend or discontinue any feature. Where a change materially
reduces what a paid plan offers, we give notice in the app in advance. The app
depends on services we do not control; **we do not promise uninterrupted or
error-free availability**, and maintenance, outages at our providers, app store
policies or network problems may interrupt it.
11. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any financial loss
arising from a decision you made using information shown in the app, from an
incorrect or delayed price, from an incorrect AI result, from an unavailable
service, or from data loss you could have avoided by using the export feature.
Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the
service in the twelve months before the event.
Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury, gross negligence,
wilful misconduct or fraud, and nothing here removes the mandatory consumer
rights you have in your country.
12. Termination, suspension and governing law
You may stop using Ferla at any time and delete your account from Settings →
Manage my data. Deleting the account deletes your data; it does not by itself
cancel a store subscription (see section 7).
We may suspend or close an account that: breaks these terms, abuses or attacks
the service, uses it unlawfully, puts other users at risk, or attempts payment
fraud. Where possible we warn first and explain why; you can object at
These terms are governed by the laws of Türkiye. The courts and enforcement
offices of İstanbul have jurisdiction, without prejudice to the
mandatory consumer protection rules — and the consumer arbitration committees
and consumer courts — of the country where you live.
